The Nicholas County Courthouse in Summersville, West Virginia.:Summersville was established in 1820 and made the county seat. Nicholas County, which was settled about 1785, was crossed by the Pocahontas Trail which led from the Greenbrier Valley to the Valley of the Great Kanawha. Located at Main Street and Church Street Summersville WV. the Courthouse was erected in 1898 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. |
