Summersville West Virginia is the county seat of Nicholas County and local history is a source of pride and if you look to the right you can see Nancy Hart's Capture Historic Marker it read: beautiful Confederate spy, was seized July, 1862, leading attack in which most of Summersville was burned. She killed her guard with his pistol and escaped. She was buried on Manning Knob. |
