I was born and raised at La Frank, WV.
I was a student at the old Dain School up to the 6th grade.
Clyde Marsh was my teacher.
Also Lena Wilson taught me in 3rd & 4th.
This picture was taken 1970 but has since been changed to a church.
I spent many happy years attending this school.
Remember the Halloween parties, pie socials, volley ball games, basketball.
Mr. Marsh always managed to add a lot of fun times with learning our abc's
As a resident of Ohio since 1954, I didn't get to come home to visit like I would have loved too.
On a visit in 1970, I snapped a picture of my beloved school, never felt the same after I was promoted on to Milltown. So many happy times at Dain School.
When I look at this picture it makes me sad, looks lost among the dirt & rocks.
But if I just sit and go back in time ( Reminisce) I hear the happy shouts of the kids at recess, the school bell ringing telling us recess is over. Mr. Marsh saying Ok class, get out the spelling book, time to study....... Thank you God for memories.
