Attachment: Old Picture of First house in Richwood, Debbie Bond This picture was sent to me and asked to figure the location. Well... when you look at the ridge line of the mountains in the background, along with the flat ground surrounding the house and the smoke "stack" in the background, good chances are the house is located in the Milltown area. The smoke stack in the back ground is the old Train that ran out of Johnstown. A time before the 'big" mill and I know from hearing my grandfather talk as a child, he was a member of the CCC's and helped build the roads into town, that one of the first ways into town was across the Greenbrier Road. It would take folks from Williamsburg and Trout 2 days to travel by horse and buggies to town to do their trading. My interest is up on trying to find some history of this area, as well as the history of Johnstown. I hope anyone that has any history or old stories from family will share them here to give us all some where to start.
