We are able to identify a few of the members, is there a Richwooder or a Walnut Class Mate who can Identify the rest of the class or errors on the page, please let us know? This picture isn't in the best shape anymore, but
it is a picture of Mrs. Spencer's 3rd grade class for 1956-1957. I am the
middle person in the top row (between two boys) and my name was Joyce
O'Dell. I remember some of the kids' names but not all of them. I
see Carolyn Wills, two to my left facing the picture, Elizabeth MacKenzie (2nd
row down, middle on right, Malcolm Vaughn 3rd
row down, 3rd from left, Karen Beathe, next one to his right, Spencer
MacKenzie, to her right, Beverly Dobson, to his right, Mary Beth Morris to her
right by two. I may have these names misspelled. It has been a long
time! At any rate, I hope you can use this picture. I have others of
Tannery Grade School I'll also send you. Not great, but they are
photos.

P.S. Richwood was such a wonderful little
town, secluded from so much of the world and problems that arose in other
towns. As I grew up, we didn't have to lock our doors and we knew we were
safe. I lived on Riverside Drive and Cherry River was only a hop, skip and
a jump away. Those were some of the happiest times of my life! My
mother and step-dad, Blenda and Clifton McElwain, passed away a little over a
year ago, so now I probably won't be returning each year for vacation, but I'll
never forget Richwood. It will always be with me in my mind and in my
heart.
Have a wonderful day!
