Pictured is the first grade class (1954-1955) of the Walnut Street Elementary School.
We are able to identify a few of the members, is there a Richwooder or a Walnut Class Mate
who can Identify the rest of the class or errors on the page, please let us know?

(2)Dear Folks,

The person identified in the photo of the 1954-55 Walnut Street School class as
Beverly McCoy is, in fact, Beverly Dobson.  Beverly McCoy attended Holy Family school.  
I was also in this Walnut Street school class but do not appear in the
photo because I missed three months of school with rheumatic fever.  

I was able to remain with my class while missing so much school thanks to the
efforts of a most dedicated teacher, Christine Callahan, who would come to my home
on Main Street during her lunch hour to keep me up to date with my lessons.  Sadly,
she was killed in a car crash some years later, but she was an exceptionally
dedicated teacher.

My mother, Nora Pauline Brown, still lives in Richwood.
