(#379) As I read through the guestbook page, I am reminded of our years in high school, some of it pleasant and some not for obvious reasons of course. I guess it is true...High school is the easiest days of our lives...Oh well. really I wouldn't change much...mainly my attitude towards authority in general and my amazing ability to act first and think later. I do miss everyone alot, and wish I had done better in RHS. ( HAPPY HOLLOW-WEEN ) Cheryl Thimm Irvine,California - Sunday, October 31, 2004 at 19:48:30 (EST)
(#378) I attended Richwood in 1950-1952 but moved back to Alabama before graduation. I have such wonderful memories of RHS and all the great friends that I made while there.

(#374) Hey Richwooders!!! I've only lived out of the town for the last 3 years but it feels like ages! I'm happy to see that so many people are taking interest in our beautiful little town. I was born and raised there, and most of my family is still located in the area. Thanks for making such a great place on the web for past, present and future residents to go! (#373) Transplanted from NY, I lived in Richwood from '75-'78 and worked for Gopher Mining Co. in their office across from Milltown Elem. I have to admit to those years being the happiest of my life.....the people welcomed me warmly and I made a great many friends there and married a local girl (Debbie Carden) and made many relocations. I live in Tucson, AZ now and Deb still in Baldwinsville, NY. In the years since moving from Richwood, my heart has remained there. The beauty of the area, especially during Autumn and the friendly, kind people I knew are very much missed. Hello to Bill & Joyce Carden. Heartfelt regards, Don Branshaw dbranshaw@aol.com Don Branshaw Tucson, AZ - Monday, October 25, 2004 at 16:50:57 (EDT)
(#372) I grew up in Richwood and attended Cherry River Elementary through 5th grade and then moved to Craigsville...loved little league season in Richwood and the Richwood City Pool (actually worked there one summer during college). After viewing the site, I realize that there is so much history to Richwood and I'd love to learn more. When attending Richwood High School, it was great to view past yearbooks and see the transformation from the old high school to the current one...GO LUMBERJACKS! It's great to see my nieces and nephews carrying on family tradition there. I attended West Virginia Wesleyan College after graduating from high school and after graduating from college, moved to Boston, where I currently live. I can't wait for my 10 year reunion...which won't be too much longer. Much love Richwood! Charlie Phillips Boston, MA - Saturday, October 23, 2004 at 07:47:05 (EDT)

(#370) I click on the guestbook just about every day to see what people are writing about our wonderful little town hoping to see a name that I knew when I lived there in the 50's....I have found some wonderful (I still call them kids) people and able to communicate with them and share some happy memories. I would love to find a cabin to rent for a week or two so if anyone out there living in Richwood knows of cabins for rent please let me know.....alandtoby@aol.com Please keep up the good work and keep this website going for us to remember what we had....the 'good and wonderful times'. God Bless everyone in Richwood.

(#363) I often come to this site just to see what people have written about this beautiful but forgotten state. I am so pleased to see a site that gives "old timers" revamped memories and gives "newbies" new vision to old territory. I was born in this great state and left it as a new born. So every time I see something or hear something about W.Va. I feel sad that I never had the chance to really know what it's like to live in a boundless & bountiful state. Do West Virigians really know what they've got? I hope so because I sure as heck do.
